Inspired by the words of Almighty Allah, “Indeed, this Qur’an guides to that which is most upright” (Al-Isra: 9), and the saying of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), “The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it,” and in line with Al-Omareyah Schools’ vision of nurturing a generation firmly rooted in its faith and loyal to its homeland, Al-Omareyah Schools have placed great emphasis on Qur’an memorization for students from Kindergarten through Grade 10.
The schools have developed a structured matrix of Qur’anic surahs carefully selected to suit each age group, aiming to instill Qur’anic values in students through an integrated value-based system. Accordingly, the Al-Omareyah Curriculum for Qur’an Memorization was launched.
The curriculum is built around several key components, including:
A Qur’anic surah appropriate to the student’s age level
General interpretation (overview)
Qur’anic values
Enrichment surahs
A clear timeline for completing memorization
Performance feedback for Al-Omareyah students
Effective methods for memorizing verses
A QR code for quick access to the recited surah
The curriculum was developed by a distinguished group of experienced and qualified Islamic Education supervisors and teachers.
Implementation of the Al-Omareyah Curriculum takes place through dedicated classroom periods for Qur’an recitation and memorization, morning Duha assemblies, Qur’an clubs, and various Qur’an competitions.
